The building’s restoration was carried out with careful respect for the original structure, which once served to shelter livestock during the winter months. Original features—such as the feeding troughs, the building's proportions, the stonework, and the fine timber—were preserved, while natural materials and contemporary, sustainable solutions were integrated to ensure minimal environmental impact.

Water for the home comes from a natural spring, and all electricity is generated via an on-site solar power system, ensuring harmony with the surrounding environment.

The estate features a circular pond—fed by the spring—measuring approximately 18 meters in diameter; it is shallow and serves as a natural swimming pool during the summer months.

During September and October, the surroundings also offer the chance to hear and witness the *berrea* (the deer rutting season), one of northern Spain's most impressive natural spectacles.
